Natalie Shepherd of CBS 58 news visited students at Silver Spring Neighborhood Center to witness SHARP’s Urban Agriculture curriculum in action! She interviewed President and CEO of SHARP Literacy, Lynda Kohler, to learn all about how SHARP is helping to bridge the opportunity gap for urban students. During a year where COVID- and summer-related school closures have accelerated learning loss, these students got to harvest fresh produce, learn about pollinators, design garden stakes and incorporate STEAM concepts.
