Each year, generous corporations and foundations sponsor the SHARP program for an individual classroom, grade or an entire school. With this support we are able to expand the program and offer it to enthusiastic teachers and students who are anxious to get started with the SHARP program. SHARP Literacy invites you to participate in “McDonald’s Unwrapped” on Thursday, May 18th. Like last year’s event, a number of Milwaukee’s finest chefs will use their culinary skills and loads of creativity.
A Novel Event 2017 will feature keynote speaker, Randall Cobb, wide receiver of the Green Bay Packers. Co-chairs for the event are Omar Shaikh and Linda Gorens-Levey. Details will follow soon.
Thank you PNC for a generous donation to SHARP’s brand-new K4 program, to be launched in 2016-2017. This program will serve children in Milwaukee and Waukesha, and will be the first step in our multi-year, multidisciplinary curriculum that links literacy, science, social studies, and art.
Dr. Arvind Ahuja, M.D. was a presenting sponsor of SHARP Literacy’s A Novel Event 2015. His practice, Neurosurgery and Endovascular Associates, is dedicated to providing compassionate, state-of-the-art care for patients with conditions of the brain, spine and peripheral nerves.

Wells Fargo sponsors Brown Street Academy, a Milwaukee Public School on the Northeast side of Milwaukee. There are 95 1st and 2nd grade SHARP students at Brown Street Academy.
